Kids Are Gaming, Why That's Great News

We know Gen Z (born 1995 - 2010) is gaming. We have seen the dramatic rise of esports and are witnessing the impact it is having on Gen Z. At JKCP, we believe in the benefits of esports, encourage the soft skills it teaches and are excited about the new college and career opportunities it presents. Our students (and my own children) have been experiencing the positive impact of this sport. Not only are they making friends, both on and off-line, but they are collaborating, practicing teamwork, problem solving and thinking strategically as they play. More importantly, they are building confidence and having fun doing it, two things I think are critical at this stage in their development. Below are a few stats that i'm excited to share as we launch our new esports summer program!
