This year, JKCP embarked on a mission to raise money and awareness for a problem that, similar to our business, spans the globe. Millions of people all over the world struggle to locate clean drinking water as a part of their every day life. For many of them, specifically the women and children, finding clean water means walking miles and miles each day to find enough for the family to get through the next 24 hours. Each day, these women and children walk with two 40 lb. containers back to their villages. Charity: water is striving to solve this problem one dollar at a time.
Their mission is to end the water crisis in the world. In order to do this, they are partnering with local organizations, such as JKCP, to start fundraising campaigns. This past week marks the end of our first year of working with charity: water and the start of year number two. At the INBOUND 2014 conference, a few of our JKCP staff members had a chance to renew our committment to charity: water by participating in another water walk. For each conference participant that walked, HubSpot (the host of the conference) donated enough money to give one person access to clean water for the rest of their life. JKCP plans to continue our efforts to ensure that nobody in the world lives without this access. To keep up with our fundraising efforts and our 2015 campaign, like us on facebook, follow us on twitter or instagram, or subscribe to our blog. Together, we can end the water crisis.
