1. Creamy Mashed Cauliflower
Mashed potatoes are a staple to any Thanksgiving feast, however potatoes are starchy and high in carbohydrates. For a healthier spin on this comfort food, swap in cauliflower. This recipe is less than 60 calories, high in fiber and ready in no time. You can even be adventurous and add in different spices and herbs. My favorite herb to add is rosemary! 2. Clean Eating Green Bean Casserole
This totally clean recipe is the lighter version of the classic dish. Skip the fried onions and instead, sauté! Even better, this casserole can be prepared ahead of time, so less stress come Thanksgiving Day. Just cover with plastic wrap, foil and freeze! This dish takes a total cook time of 40 minutes! 3. Parmesan Garlic Roasted Mushrooms
Now, I’m not a huge mushroom person, but this recipe has my mouth watering! Less than 10 ingredients are needed for this recipe and can feed 5-6 people! Mushrooms are a good sources of selenium, an antioxidant mineral, as well as copper, niacin, potassium and phosphorous. Also, mushrooms provide protein, vitamin C and iron. Check out the recipe!

4. Toasted Pine Nut Herb Pumpkin Muffins
This paleo approved treat comes highly recommended. I myself follow the paleo lifestyle, and finding spin off dishes that aren’t totally disgusting can be quite the challenge. This recipe takes a total of 35 minutes and using pine nuts revolutionizes the normal pumpkin muffin.
