Here are 14 Backswing Drills!

Getting ready to golf this summer? Well before you head straight to the course, we've outlined some great backswing drills for you. If you practice these drills you'll be better prepared for our Summer Golf Camp

The backswing is divided into four parts, namely the take away, 1/4 swing, 1/2 swing or nine o'clock swing and finally the full swing.

Drills that you could work on for your backswing include:

  • Body rotation with a golf club
  • Pre-set width
  • Pre-set club
  • Pre-set wrist hinge
  • Shake hands
  • Nine o'clock three o'clock drill
  • Extended club drill for plane
  • Half grip wrist hinge
  • Lighten up for centrifugal pull
  • Mini swing
  • Hands beside the head drill
  • Swing center head control
  • Pause at the top
  • Leading edge 45 degrees to shaft
