These are five core exercises to help prepare anyone for the green! You'll notice your core is important when playing golf and these exercises will strengthen your core.

Abdominal Crunches

Lay on the floor with your feet tucked to your body and knees pointing to the ceiling or sky. Raise chest to knees. Focus on contraction of the lower abs to increase the intensity and core.

Russian Twists

Sit on your upper butt and lower back while having your upper back off the ground as well as your legs. Then tuck the legs in more towards your chest to contract your abs and increase intensity. Twist from side to side.

With slight focus on back muscles (core), lay on your stomach and lift your legs and chest off the ground. Leaving your stomach on the floor and the rest of your body about 6-10 inches off the ground. Hold for 3 seconds. Repeat 5 times.

Hip Crossovers

Lie face up on the ground with arms to your sides. Bend your knees with feet shoulder-width apart and heels on the ground. Twist bent legs to the left until they reach ground, then twist them to the right. Keep alternating sides while keeping your shoulders on the ground and your abs tight.

Glute Bridges

Lying face up with your arms out to your sides (like hip crossovers), your knees bent and your toes off the ground. Squeeze your glutes and thrust hips upward until your body is in a straight line from your shoulders to your knees. Hold for 4-5 seconds. Repeat 5 times.
